May Day Commemoration and Activism
In Kathmandu, SAAPE labour rights campaign member organisations organized a rally under the slogan, “Right to Work, Respect for Labour, Enhancement of Skills; Progress with Technology, Prosperity with Workers.” The commemoration reaffirmed workers’ demands for dignity, respect, and the protection of their rights, while highlighting the importance of skill development and technological advancement as pathways to shared prosperity. Across Nepal, workers and trade unions delivered a unified message: workers’ rights must be safeguarded, and policies must promote justice, decent work, and inclusive economic progress.
