He is a human rights defender, Secretary General of the World Forum of Fisher People (WFFP) and the head of the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement (NAFSO) of Sri Lanka. He is working in the human rights field from last 25 years and more. He is specified in addressing issues of land, ownership of water bodies and environmental destruction.
