Netra Prasad Timsina is regional coordinator of South Asia Alliance for Poverty Eradication (SAAPE)- a regional network of South Asian Countries comprising of academics, civil society organizations, women, labour and peasant movements, peace activists and grassroots based organizations. He is a political economic analyst and human rights activists of South Asia. He also has conducted researches on land and forest rights and community based natural resource management practices. And He is also extensively engaged on the climate change debate particularly with the discourse of climate justice and disaster resilience. Netra also has extensive engagement at regional and international level specific to development rights such as development agenda 2030, fight inequality global campaign among others. He also teaches public policy course in Universities of Nepal as adjunct professor. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Reading, United Kingdom in political economy of natural resource management.
